Renowned actress Itziar Ituño, best known for her role in globally acclaimed series, will attend the Iberseries Platino Industria event in Madrid on October 3 to introduce her new series in development, Uzal. Created and directed by Marcos Moreno, the series is produced by Motor Films and Tharsis Films, with international distribution handled by MGE.

Uzal follows the journey of Naja, portrayed by Ituño, whose life has been shaped by her father Irvin’s relentless obsession with get-rich-quick schemes involving treasure hunts and other far-fetched ventures. This time, Irvin’s fantasies lead them to a remote coastal village in the South Pacific, where he becomes entangled with a group of artisanal fishermen. Faced with economic desperation and unemployment, these fishermen embark on a high-stakes quest for the legendary treasure of the Spanish galleon Uzal, which sank centuries ago in MorroMujer Bay. Along their journey, these unlikely adventurers must contend with two formidable enemies: a ruthless smuggler and the powerful industrial fishing operations of Andoni Ugarte. As they confront unimaginable challenges, the future they seek remains as uncertain as the treasure they pursue, in an adventure that promises to change their lives forever.
