Marc Fitoussi Unveils Ça, C’est Paris! at Le Havre Premiere
During Le Rendez-vous at Le Havre (2-6 September, 2024), we had the pleasure of meeting Marc Fitoussi, the talented director and writer behind the new drama series, Ça, C’est Paris!.

This series, distributed by Federation Studios, takes viewers into the vibrant and multifaceted world of cabaret in Paris. With Alex Lutz starring as the main protagonist, Gaspard Berthille, the show promises to captivate audiences with its exploration of Parisian nightlife and the complex relationships within a famed cabaret.

The story revolves around Le Tout-Paris, a renowned cabaret in the heart of the city, known for perpetuating the myth of wild Parisian nights. However, the once-glorious establishment has fallen on hard times. Unlike his father, Dary Berthille, the legendary show leader and former director of the cabaret, Gaspard has struggled to maintain the cabaret’s success. Viewers will be left wondering—has Gaspard's failure been caused by an outdated performance style? Poor management? Or the increasing pressure from rival cabarets?

With mounting challenges, Gaspard makes the difficult decision to sell the cabaret. But just as things seem to be reaching a low point, the arrival of a new investor—accompanied by his son—promises to completely change the future of Le Tout-Paris and the destinies of its vibrant, diverse cast of characters.

Produced by Federation Studios and Mon Voisin Productions, the same team behind the international hit series Call My Agent!, Ça, C’est Paris! carries the potential to match the success of its predecessor, which has been sold in 190 countries and inspired remakes in 12 different regions. The addition of international star Monica Bellucci to the cast further heightens the global appeal of this exciting project.

Marc Fitoussi shared insightful reflections on the timeless allure of the cabaret world. “I think the world of cabaret speaks to everyone,” he explained. "For some, it may seem like an old world, but people still want that kind of entertainment. It’s a space where very different people come together—young dancers working alongside an older man who happens to be gay, and a couple who is completely straight. The cabaret is a world of diversity, and I thought it was interesting to reflect on the wider world through this small, dynamic group."

"Ça, C’est Paris!  - said Fitoussi not only highlights the vibrancy and history of Parisian nightlife but also provides a rich exploration of identity, inclusion, and human connection, all set against the backdrop of the beloved city of Paris. The series is poised to be a powerful representation of both the joys and struggles within the unique cabaret community, showcasing how traditions can either thrive or fade away in the face of modern challenges."

As the show prepares for its release, audiences can look forward to immersing themselves in the captivating world of Le Tout-Paris, where the sparkle of cabaret meets the complexity of human relationships.
