Deepak Dhar, Founder & Group CEO of Banijay Asia and EndemolShine India, has unveiled a strategic expansion initiative into South East Asia with the establishment of CreAsia Studio.
This newly formed entity is poised to play a pivotal role in the regional expansion of Banijay Asia, focusing on fostering local collaborations to produce indigenous content and adapt Banijay intellectual properties for the South East Asian audience.

As part of this significant development, Jessica Kam-Engle has been appointed as the Executive Vice President (EVP) & Business Head of CreAsia Studio. Reporting directly to Deepak Dhar, Jessica will spearhead the formulation and execution of business strategies, driving growth in key markets across South East Asia, including Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Philippines, Vietnam, and Thailand.

Jessica Kam-Engle, an accomplished Film/TV producer and studio executive, brings over 20 years of extensive experience in the region. Her illustrious career includes notable roles at renowned brands such as Disney+, HBO Asia, Warner Media Entertainment Networks, MTV Networks/Viacom, MGM Gold Network, Dow Jones Newswires, and Celestial Pictures. Jessica's most recent position was as the Head of Content and Development for Disney+ in APAC, where she successfully commissioned over 60 scripted and non-scripted original series.

This strategic move aligns seamlessly with Banijay's existing activities in the region, supported by its global distribution operation, Banijay Rights. The formation of CreAsia Studio marks a significant step in Banijay's commitment to furthering its footprint and impact in the dynamic South East Asian media landscape.
