Rai Uno will premiere on June 3rd and 4th, Volevamo andare lontano - Bella Germania (3x90' - in Italy aired in 2 episodes), a German miniseries that talks about the Italians who emigrated to Germany in the 60s and 70s to seek a better future. The series was released on ZDF in Germany on March 10th, produced by Bavaria Fiction and distributed by Zweites Deutsches Fernsehen (ZDF).
Based on the novel of Daniel Speck, Bella Germania talks about a great story of an Italian-German family of three generations, full of twists, great emotions, hopes and delicacy. Starring by Natalia Belitski, Joachim Bissmer, Silvia Busuioc and Deniz Baser.
The story begins in Munich in 2014. The designer Julia (Natalia Belitski), discovers something unexpected and her life is taking an unforeseen turn. In front of the Cathedral of Milan she meets Ottokar (Joachim Bissmer) who reveals that he is her grandfather and that he wants to find his son Vincent (Kostja Ullmann), the girl's father. Julia is shocked by this news and decides to help her grandfather. With a jump in the past, in 1954, the story starts with the encounter and the love story between the young Ottokar and Juliet. Two fall madly in love at first sight and from this fleeting relationship Vincenzo was born. Later, the two are separated from her family because don't accept the love between them and also because Julia is promised to another man, Enzo.
A tragic love takes its course, which will change Julia's life even decades later because she will discover unexpected things about her family.
