K7 Media, will deliver a keynote at the much-anticipated pre-Brexit event Global media consultancy, K7 Media, will deliver a keynote at the much-anticipated pre-Brexit event, hosted by UK TV trade body Pact.
Taking place in the Lake District, Content Without Borders will provide an opportunity for UK production companies to network with influential European broadcasters, pitch upcoming projects and seek co-finance.
K7 Media’s Communications Manager, David Ciaramella, and Client Manager, Ella Turner, are set to deliver ‘What are EU watching?’, exploring the most surprising successes in unscripted programming, from the last 12 months. In an age of fragmented viewing habits, the pair will establish the common genres and themes attracting audiences in key European territories that could be driving these unexpected hits.
K7 Media will also produce an exclusive industry report on TV in Europe for delegates, including representatives from Amazon, Discovery and France Televisions.
Speaking on K7 Media’s involvement in the event, Turner said: “We are delighted to have been invited to present as part of Content Without Borders. K7 Media has worked hard to build its physical presence in Europe.”
Director of International Development at Pact, Dawn McCarthy-Simpson, added: “Content Without Borders is born out of Pact’s desire to emphasise that UK indies are eager and open to maintaining trade with Europe. We are delighted to have K7 Media on board as Knowledge Partner at the event and provide delegates with important insight into the European markets.”
K7 Media’s participation in the pre-Brexit event follows substantial business planning ahead of the UK’s departure from the European Union. As part of K7 Media’s commitment to reducing barriers, between themselves and clients, the business opened its first European office in Amsterdam, in 2016.
K7 Media offers bespoke research and media consulting services to broadcasters, streaming platforms, distributors and production companies across the world. It continues to expand its current range of client services, while maintaining the delivery of its indispensable media reports.
Trade association, Pact, supports the commercial interests of UK independent television, film, digital, children’s and animation media companies.
