Kabo finalises deal with Sky Italia on factual entertainment series Distributor KABO International has finalized a broadcast licensing agreement with Sky Italia for two of Avanti Groupe’s ready-made factual entertainment series Matchmaking Kids and Planning Mom and Dad’s Wedding

Both series are distributed by KABO International in association with Avanti Groupe and are scheduled to air on the Italian network this summer.

“Sky Italia is the perfect platform to deliver these two shows to Italian viewers as the global demand for relationship, dating and family entertainment programs continues on a strong trajectory. We love the fact that the main elements in both series are determined by kids, culminating in a fresh and hilarious perspective on relationship choices. We are also thrilled to be able to deliver both programs as ready-mades, an initiative we are developing along side our format business as we continue to grow and diversify our catalogue,” said Arabelle Pouliot-Di Crescenzo, Managing Director, KABO International.

Matchmaking Kids (24 x 45’) is an entertainment dating series where kids go on a mission to find that special someone for their single Mom or Dad. For once it is the youngest family members who are calling the shots. Forming a selection committee with two close relations, the kids meet with 10 candidates and assess their suitability. During these step-parent auditions, it is the kids that the potential suitors have to try to win over, finally leading to two who will be selected to introduce to the parents. At the end of a full day of activities, including a visit to the family home and a series of challenges that put the two finalists to the test, the kids pick the one who will be given the keys to their home and a chance to win a second date with their mom or dad.

Planning Mom and Dad’s Wedding (13 X 45’) is a fun family adventure that allows children to play the role of wedding organizers as their parents learn to let go of certain aspects of what must be the happiest day of their lives. While three seasoned wedding organizers vet the family for an evening plan that is out of the ordinary, the children then select a concept from among those proposed to them. Supported by the organizer whose event was ultimately chosen, they carry out the preparations – making decisions on cake, decoration, location, wedding dress, catering etc. Surprises and twists await the newlyweds who, in addition to uniting their destinies, seal their vows with the blessing of their children!
