Warner Bros. International Television Production (WBITVP) Spain has hired Mediaset España alum and Big Bang Media founder Alberto Carullo as head of drama.
Reporting to Sebastián Moguilevsky, MD of WBITVP in Spain and Portugal, Carullo will lead the scripted department, as well as content development and production for networks and platforms in Spain and Latin America.
His remit includes the development and production of new projects, the adaptation of original content from the Warner Bros. factory and the leadership of the series teams. He will also be in charge of directing the business model of the production company’s scripted area, where he will focus on the relationship with screens and platforms, the creation of opportunities, co-productions and the establishment of partnerships with other production companies.
Carullo joins WBITVP Spain with 30 years industry experience, including almost a decade as channel director of Mediaset España, where he worked on shows such as Gran Hermano, Survivor, Caiga Quien Caiga and Pasapalabra.
He went on to launch the production company Big Bang Media and, as CEO and partner of the company, he led his own series such as Perdid” and Caronte. Previously, Carullo was in charge of contents at Boca Boca Producciones and was marketing and on-air promotion director for the Mediaset Group in Italy.
Moguilevsky described Carullo as “a highly respected producer in the market with a high-quality track record and passion for the industry and audiovisual content.”
