Amcomri Entertainment has entered in to a 4-picture deal with Malcolm Winter and Monika Gergelova’s UK based M & M Film Productions. The deal was finalized after Amcomri’s international sales team, 101 Films International, premiered M & M’s Fear the Invisible Man at the recent Cannes Film Festival.
The multi-picture deal will see Amcomri co-finance the slate of movies, becoming an official financing partner of M & M Film Productions with 101 Films International distributing globally.
The first film slated for production is the period drama Frankenstein: The Legacy scheduled to begin principal photography this August. The film will be shot using the Victorian backdrop around the Southwest of the UK and will be produced by Monika Gergelova and Malcolm Winter from M & M Film Productions and in association with producer Michael Riley for Sterling Pictures, and directed by Paul Dudbridge, Hanover Pictures. Also slated for late 2022 is the sequel to Fear the Invisible Man. Michael Walker will serve as Executive Producer on behalf of Amcomri Entertainment and 101 Films International.
Andy Lyon, CEO of 101 Films International said, “We are thrilled to be representing this slate of movies with M & M, after working together previously on Fear the Invisible Man it was clear that Malcolm and Monika can deliver the high-quality projects that we can successfully take to the markets. 101 Films International plans to take the first project, Frankenstein: The Legacy, to Berlin in 2023.”
Robert Price, CEO of Amcomri Entertainment added, “We’re delighted to be working with M & M Film Productions, with their decades of experience. We’re very pleased to be backing films that we know will work well internationally and to further build our portfolio across all genres; delivering against our growth strategy.”
M & M Film Productions, Monika Gergelova commented, “We are excited to be partnering with Andy Lyon, Michael Walker and the team from 101 Films International and Amcomri Productions with our slate of films, producing high-quality, high-concept, character-driven films with amazing locations. Another recent film set to be distributed by 101 Films International from M & M is Christmas At The Holly Day Inn, an Amcomri Productions and M & M Film Productions co-production. This is a family-friendly, multi-generational romantic comedy about an over-achieving executive who quits her job just before Christmas and goes to her father's country inn to try to rebuild some balance in her life; starring Tamla Kari (The Inbetweeners), written by Lisa Chapman (Law of Attraction) and directed by Adam Wilson (Crawl To Me Darling).
