The series is the local adaptation of French scripted format Le Bazar de la charité and is produced by Fabula Pictures for RTI.
The story is set in the sicilian city of Palermo and is inspired by real events occured in that time: three women: Arianna, Rosalia and Costanza, are shocked after a fire caused at the exhibition of new technologies. In the four episodes of Stronger than Destiny, are told the stories of the three women forced to suffer the injustices of a strongly male-dominated social context such as the Sicilian one. Their lives will change on the opening day of the exhibition on new technologies in Palermo. On that occasion, the Cinema was presented, the pavilion was very crowded and suddenly a fire broke out. The dead are countless, especially women, and those who manage to save themselves will have serious consequences.
The protagonists of the series are Giulia Bevilacqua, Dharma Mangia Woods and Laura Chiatti. The cast also includes, among others, Loretta Goggi, Thomas Trabacchi, Sergio Rubini and Francesca Valtorta.
