Abacus Media Rights (AMR), a member of the Amcomri Media Group, has secured a raft of sales, ahead of its forthcoming premiere on HBO and BBC Two, for Dan Reed’s feature-length documentary Four Hours at the Capitol which delves into the storming of the US Capitol which took place earlier this year, announced Managing Director, Jonathan Ford.

The 90’ documentary, directed by award-winning Jamie Roberts (The Rise of the Murdoch Dynasty), has been sold to CANAL+ France, ViacomCBS Australia, Discovery New Zealand for Three, HBO Max in Latin America and Iberia and HBO Europe for CEE, VPRO in The Netherlands, VRT Belgium, DR Denmark, SVT Sweden, NRK Norway, YLE Finland, SWR Germany and Channel 8 Israel.

Produced by prolific Emmy® Award-winner Dan Reed (Leaving Neverland), Four Hours at the Capitol, an AMOS Pictures production, has been commissioned by HBO Documentaries and BBC Current Affairs, and delivers a forensic account of the storming of the US Capitol on 6th January 2021 taking as its focus the four-hours between 1 and 5 pm in which the Capitol building and the Senators and Representatives came under direct attack as they assembled to formally certify the US Presidential election. Based on exhaustive research, this documentary reveals how the assault unfolded and asks the question – is the ideology that spurred the rioters still viral in America?

A clear timeline of events is portrayed by the personal stories of a wide-ranging cast of characters drawn from those involved on the day including The Capitol Police, DC Law Enforcement, legislators, politicians, and members of the tribes within the mass of rioters and protesters.
