BBC version of hit show I Can See Your Voice to premiere in UK next Saturday, April 10
The British version of CJ ENM’s hit music show I Can See Your Voice has fixed its premiere date on BBC One. Initially announced its commission last year, the hilarious mystery music show is set to debut on Saturday, April 10 (19:20 Britain time)

As its host, English actor and comedian Paddy McGuinness will host the show each week. He is joined by a celebrity panel of comedian Jimmy Carr, TV personality Alison Hammond and Britain’s Got Talent judge Amanda Holden, who will try to guess which contestants are good singers and which are the imposters. The show is produced by Thames and Naked, part of Fremantle.

Sebastian Kim, Director of content sales & acquisitions at CJ ENM said: “We are excited to finally announce the first air date of the much anticipated show on BBC One. Following the successful premiere of the Season 2 in RTL, Germany last week, we have high hopes for the British audiences to enjoy this show and to continue the travel of this globe-trotting format in Europe!”

The premiere of Season 2 in Germany gathered 2.3 million viewers in total views, and 14.% in the target demo - which is more than double the average market share for RTL for the month to date. It debuted as the most watch program in RTL for the day, and second across all channels - only coming behind a main news show.

I Can See Your Voice, a mystery music show originally by CJ ENM is a world-travelling format where guests need to guess whether contestants are good singers or bad singers, just depending on their looks and lip-sync acting. The original creator, Seon-young Lee, came up with the notion in 2012, filmed the first season in 2014 and the show premiered in February of 2015 in Korea. Until now, the show has successfully aired 8 seasons in Korea.

As of 2021, it has been broadcasted to 18 countries worldwide, with recent hit adaptation in the US on channel FOX starring Ken Jeong as host. With adaptations set for BBC One, season 2 for RTL (Germany) and RTL4 (Netherlands) this year, I Can See Your Voice has proven its originality with more than 800 episodes within 39 seasons worldwide.
