TF1 Group’s Newen in France has created a new arm called Newen France, comprising production companies Telfrance, CAPA and 17 Juin.
Newen said housing the three prodcos under one umbrella would help to better reflect the company’s “content-first strategy” and support its international expansion.
Vincent Meslet, a producer on French dramas Demain nous appartient and Ici toutcommence, has been appointed CEO of Newen France. Meslet is a former head of programmes at local networks France 3, Arte and France 2.
In addition, Guillaume Thouret has been promoted to MD from his previous role as MD of CAPA and deputy MD of Newen in charge of unscripted.
Benoît Thevenet, MD of 17 Juin, will continue in his role but will also now run CAPA’s press agency CAPA Presse, whose former MD Philippe Levasseur has been promoted to head of international, where he will support the development of Newen’s foreign subsidiaries.
Each of Newen France’s management team members will report to Newen MD Romain Bessi.
