Natpe Miami virtually opens with Telemundo's screening Uncondionally Brave hosted by Kate Del Castillo
The first day of NATPE Miami 2021 (Tuesday, January 19) opened with Telemundo’s presentation Unconditionally brave hosted by actress and producer Kate Del Castillo (La Reina del Sur).

Telemundo's president Marcos Santana explained that "it was a difficult year but the network covered its production and distribution goals for 2021, as well as the titles it has set to premiere this year. The largest Latin production company for fiction content released four productions last year, all of which received positive feedback. This year, the network hopes to launch between seven and nine productions, all set to be developed in the 13 Telemundo Center studios, owned by Telemundo Global studios".

Some of the goals announced by Telemundo during the presentation include obtaining more production and streaming partners in addition to Netflix, Amazon, Movistar, and Peacock. Multiple productions under development are set to be released later this year on these platforms. The network is also working closely with NBC Universal Distribution studios to further expand its presence outside of Latin America.

During the presentation, Telemundo also revealed that season three of its hit series La Reina Del Sur is currently in production as the first Latin production with the same number of episodes per series. The network also showed highlights about two new series set to premiere this month, which include Donde Esta Elisa and La Suerte De Loli.
Donde Esta Elisa is adapted in over 15 markets and distributed across 90 countries. The series was produced 85% in studio and15% outside locations.

Other noted titles slated to be produced and/or released this year include MalVerde, which required additional construction for productions, seasons 4 and 5 of El Marginal,  El Recluso, and Armas De Mujer, set to debut on Peacock. The series are produced in collaboration between the US, Mexico, and Argentina.
