Love At First Song Malaysia debuts second season with #1 ratings

Love At First Song - locally titled as Lagu Cinta Kita - a hybrid music & dating show originally from CJ ENM, premiered its second season in Malaysia last Sunday. 
  
Aired on channel TV3 on the 8th of November, a total of 3.7 million viewers gathered in front of the screen to watch singles successfully matched into couples. 2 couples from Season 1, who have tied the knot, also appeared as guests to sing duets and bless the new season and the new singles of Season 2. It garnered the highest share of the primetime slot with 17.4% ratings.

Online especially, the social media and online engagement was over 100K while the viewership on YouTube doubled to 10.2K views per hour. This was a significant record as it is double the numbers of another popular show, Gegar Vaganza.

Originally from CJ ENM, Love at First Song is a music dating show that matches people looking for their soulmates through musical taste. Without seeing one another, the matched pair practice together and on the day of the duet, get to see one another's appearance and decide whether to continue the duet and become a couple. If they do, the couple spends 1 week at Camp Love Song where they go on dates, compete with other couples and prepare for the final Duet Competition. 

Meanwhile, Love at First Song has been optioned in France, waiting for commission.
