On Wednesday, September 16 2020 on Canale 5 debuted the Season 8 of docu-reality Temptation Island with 2.958.000 viewers and 18.78% of share, a similar record of edition 2019, started on Monday, September 9 2019 with 2.949.000 viewers and 18.16% of share. The show produced by Fascino PGT, was the most popular of the prime time slot with 18.78% share (22.08% in commercial target). In overlap (9:32pm - 11:46pm), against Rai 1 documentary Ulisse (15.89%), docu-reality scored 3.323.000 viewers and 16.89% of share. It reached peaks of 30.1% of share and 4.021.000 viewers. Record numbers in young target 15-34yo: 28.57%.
Alessia Marcuzzi returns to host the docu-reality show, which this time has no VIP couples in the cast. In 2019 it was broadcasted against Rai 1 which aired rerun episode of detective series Il Commissario Montalbano (21.27% share). The 8th edition started two months after the one hosted by Filippo Bisciglia, which debuted on July 2 achieved 3.698.000 viewers and 21.6% of share.
