Sizzling premieres for Love Island worldwide
The summer of love is officially underway as ITV Studios’ global hit reality sensation, Love Island kicks off across the globe following the coronavirus pandemic. In the USA, the first week of the new season kept everyone glued to their screens. The premiere of Love Island USA last week finished first in all key demos and was the most social primetime entertainment show of the night.

This season the American “Islanders” are sequestered in a “bubble” looking for their perfect partner at a stunning villa on top of Caesars Entertainment’s boutique hotel, The Cromwell due to the coronavirus. During the entire production period, COVID-19 compliance officers will be on staff to monitor and enforce all health and safety protocols. Love Island USA is produced by ITV America’s ITV Entertainment and is based on a format owned by ITV Studios and Motion Content Group.

Also in Europe several Love Island series have started. In Germany, the 4th season of Love Island - Heisse Flirts & wahre Liebe premiered Monday evening on RTL 2, securing 859.000 thousand viewers and a market share of 7% in the key demo. The second series of the Dutch/Belgian version kicked off on RTL5 in the Netherlands and on VIJF in Belgium last night. Gorgeous, young and single contestants entered their villa in Gran Canaria, in hope of finding love.

Looking for more than a summer fling, the series premiere of season 2 of Love Island Poland on Polsat also found its way to the Polish viewers’ hearts. The first episode secured a 11.3% market share in the key demo.
