New panels and presentations confirmed for Prensario Virtual Screenings Autumn 2020
VIRTUAL SCREENINGS AUTUMN 2020 reinforces its “VS Next Session” line up by announcing other four new panels and presentations produced along with the market partners, which have been added to the six sessions confirmed last week.
A strong selection of global executives will describe and analyze the moment of the industry, the impact of the Covid-19 and which are the perspectives for the short and medium term; how have audiences changed their content consumption habits and how has drama consolidated its global expansion. The sessions will be premiered during different days of the market that takes place on September 15-24.
On September 18, “How to Create Content that Brands and Audiences Want Using Global Demand Data” will be the 30-minutes presentation from Alejandro Rojas, Director of Applied Analytics, Parrot Analytics, and Alex Nemeque, Data and Insights Director, WarnerMedia Mexico. “While content still reigns king, financing the production of content without changing the storytelling remains a challenge. This presentation showcases best practices for utilizing global data to determine what content appeals to audiences, ensuring your production is an attractive investment for brands and advertisers, while maintaining the magic of the story”, explained the executives.
The following day, September 19, “How has Covid-19 affected the Latin America industry?” will gather broadcaster and producers of the region to analyze the present scenario and the one after the pandemic. Organized by PRENSARIO and moderated by Agustin Genovese, director, Genomedios (Paraguay), it will show Eduardo Fernandez, Head of Production of eltrece, programing director of Artear networks, and team leader of (Argentina), Catalina Porto, executive manager of production, Caracol Television (Colombia) and Ana Cecilia Alvarado, VP of International Business, Ecuavisa Studios (Ecuador).
Spain will be one of the stars at VIRTUAL SCREENINGS AUTUMN: “Spanish contents become global: present & future of an industry in expansion” will present Fernando Lopez Puig, director of contents, channels and production, from RTVE, Mercedes Gamero, general director, Atresmedia Cine and Ana Bustamante, general director, Mediterraneo Mediaset España along with veteran and pioneer drama producers Daniel Ecija (Medico de Familia, Los Serrano, Aguila Roja, El Internado), founder and CEO at The Good Mood and Maria Garcia, head of sales and co-productions at Boomerang TV.
Moderated by Irene Jimenez from Audiovisual 451, the panel will take place on September 21 and will summarize the moment of the audiovisual industry in the Iberian country, chosen by top global OTTs such us Netflix or Amazon Prime Video to produce the top programming in Spanish language for the world with renowned projects as Money Heist, Las Chicas del Cable, Isabel del Alma Mia, etc.
On September 23, “What Buyers & Commissioners Want in Singapore” will put focus on this strategic country in the heart of Asia, home of the some of the top panregional linear and non linear platforms that are producing more and more ‘Asian Originals’.
