WAVES Launches in Cannes with Women Leaders from 21 Countries
WAVES (Women Advancing Voices in Entertainment & Screen), a new international network dedicated to women in the entertainment industry, officially launched in Cannes on October 11, bringing together 60 influential women from 21 countries.

The exclusive, invitation-only gathering welcomed executives, independent producers and entrepreneurs representing approximately 50 companies and organizations, marking the beginning of an initiative designed to strengthen international partnerships and create new business opportunities.

Founded by media executive Victoria Elmacioglu, WAVES aims to build a global community of female decision-makers working across television, film, content development, production, distribution and international business.

“Throughout my career, I've worked alongside extraordinary women who are leading companies, building businesses, and shaping the direction of our industry,” said Victoria Elmacioglu, Founder of WAVES. “WAVES is about bringing that collective experience and influence together. We have an opportunity to build something that extends beyond our annual industry gatherings, where women can actively support new ventures, share knowledge, and create business opportunities together.”

Unlike traditional networking initiatives centred on major industry events, WAVES is conceived as a year-round platform for collaboration, encouraging members to exchange expertise, develop strategic relationships and explore new ventures across international markets.
