Singapore-based production company Refinery Media is accelerating its expansion into short-form vertical content, with five additional projects in development spanning sports, documentary and scripted entertainment.
Among the upcoming productions is Superhuman a vertical sports competition featuring elite athletes tackling increasingly demanding physical and strategic challenges to determine the ultimate champion. Another project, Watch Game Strong, explores the world of horology through a documentary format. Both titles are scheduled to launch in the third quarter of 2027, marking Refinery Media’s entry into genres that remain largely unexplored in the vertical entertainment space.
The company is also strengthening its scripted offering with My Best Friend, My Brother, My Rival, set to premiere in November 2026.
Since July 29, Refinery Media’s vertical content portfolio has generated 65 million views across 10 countries. The company expects cumulative views to reach 150 million by the end of 2026 and 250 million by the end of the first quarter of 2027.
Meanwhile, Refinery Media’s lifestyle production Man of the Hour has been recognised as a Singapore National Winner in three categories at the Asian Academy Creative Awards 2026. The programme will compete for the regional Grand Awards, taking place in Singapore on December 3.
Founded by Karen Seah, Refinery Media is known for internationally distributed formats including SupermodelMe, Asia’s Next Top Model and The Apprentice: ONE Championship Edition. The company is combining its experience in premium television production with new technologies, including virtual production through X3D Studio and AI-powered workflows via GENGIS AI, as it continues to expand its presence in the evolving digital content market.
