Talpa Studios Brings Sing With Me and The Golden Elevators to MIPCOM 2026
Talpa Studios is heading to MIPCOM 2026 with a slate combining new original IP, creative partnerships and international commissions, led by entertainment formats Sing With Me and The Golden Elevators.
With 26 formats active across 34 countries, Talpa Studios continues to expand its international portfolio. New commissions for Most Wanted and Catch Us add further markets, while established titles including The Floor, The Alliance, The House of Hide & Seek and Caught in the Middle continue their international rollout.
Sebastian van Barneveld, Director Global Distribution at Talpa Studios, says: "In a rapidly changing market, strong ideas need more than creativity alone. Collaboration and flexibility are key to making them travel. Our MIPCOM slate reflects that approach: by combining original IP with creative partnerships and developing formats that can work across markets, platforms and audiences, we’re creating multiple routes for ideas to grow. We’re excited to bring this mix of new ideas and proven brands to Cannes.”

Among the new original titles is The Golden Elevators, a quiz format combining knowledge and social strategy. Ten contestants enter a skyscraper and must choose between two elevators representing possible answers to ten questions. Correct answers take contestants higher, while wrong choices send them out of the game. Contestants can collaborate or mislead their rivals, with a life-changing jackpot waiting at the top. The format has already been commissioned by ITV in the UK and SBS6 in the Netherlands, where it will air in early 2027.
Creative partnerships now account for more than 40% of Talpa Studios’ format catalogue. One of the latest additions is Sing With Me, developed with IDTV, which gives aspiring singers the chance to perform alongside established artists. The format will launch on SBS6 in the Netherlands on November 7. The partnership strategy has also produced titles including murder mystery format A Party to Die For, developed with ITV Studios, and Let’s Play Ball, co-developed by EndemolShine Nederland, Talpa Studios and Signal.Stream. Let’s Play Ball has secured commissions in French Canada and Finland.

Signal.Stream, Talpa Studios’ strategic partner for formats aimed at the streaming generation, is also behind titles expanding internationally. Most Wanted has secured new commissions in Slovakia, the Czech Republic and Romania, while Catch Us has added commissions from TV4 in Sweden and ProSieben in Germany, alongside adaptations in the Netherlands and Hungary. Meanwhile, established brands continue to travel. The Floor has now reached more than 30 territories, while The Winner Takes It All has secured its first international sale to France Télévisions and a recommission in the Netherlands.
Daily reality competition The Alliance, nominated for the Netherlands’ most prestigious television audience award, is also expanding, with Prime Video confirming a second season following its celebrity adaptation in India. Caught in the Middle, the studio game show in which a duo must outsmart 100 opponents closing in around them, is returning for a second season in the Netherlands and has secured adaptations in Spain for Atresmedia and Australia for Seven Network.
