WBITVP Unveils Talent-Led Finished Slate for MIPCOM 2026
Warner Bros. International Television Production (WBITVP) is bringing a diverse finished programming slate to MIPCOM 2026, spanning investigative documentaries, personal journeys, family mysteries, factual entertainment and scripted drama. Among the highlights is Wall to Wall’s Buried with Michael Sheen (2x60’) for BBC Two, in which the actor investigates claims that toxic industrial chemicals were dumped across Welsh communities where he grew up. Joined by journalists, scientists, lawyers and local residents, Sheen explores the potential impact of PCB pollution, public health and corporate responsibility.
In Guz Does MMA (1x60’), produced by Ricochet for BBC Three, comedian and actor Guz Khan takes up mixed martial arts training as he approaches 40. What begins as a challenge to improve his fitness develops into a personal exploration of faith, masculinity, fatherhood and grief.

WBITVP New Zealand brings two productions focused on family mysteries and personal discovery. Breakthrough with David Lomas (8x60’) for Three New Zealand follows the investigative journalist as he searches for missing family members, while My Family Mystery (12x60’) for TVNZ sees presenter Sonia Gray help families investigate unanswered questions using researchers, DNA experts, archives and family records. Also from WBITVP New Zealand is My House My Castle (10x30’) for Three, exploring creative ways people adapt their homes and make better use of their available space. The slate includes Finnish crime series The Dark Side (20x30’), produced by WBITVP Finland for Nelonen. Crime journalist Riku Rantala and former narcotics officer Kale Puonti revisit major cases, examining evidence, theories and unanswered questions, with generative AI used to recreate key moments and locations.
Dutch scripted drama BASTA (7x60’), produced by Hollands Licht for Videoland, tells the story of football legend Marco van Basten, whose career is threatened when a serious ankle injury makes it increasingly difficult to continue playing. The series follows his struggle to confront the possibility of losing the sport that has defined his life.

Returning favourites
WBITVP is also bringing new seasons and episodes of established titles to MIPCOM, including Waterloo Road, Celebrity Treasure Island, The Repair Shop, The Repair Shop: On the Road, Harry Potter: Wizards of Baking, Who Do You Think You Are?, 24 in 24: Last Chef Standing, The Bidding Room and Selling Houses Australia. The returning slate also includes The Golden Bachelor Australia and new seasons of local versions of First Dates and other WBITVP brands.
“For such a varied set of titles and stories, our MIPCOM slate is united by people searching for answers. Michael Sheen investigates an issue rooted in the communities where he grew up, Guz Khan explores fatherhood, grief, and faith through his journey into mixed martial arts, and David Lomas searches for people believed lost. BASTA follows Marco van Basten as he faces losing the game that has always defined him, in a series that has already won three prestigious Gouden Kalveren awards within a month of launching. These are all stories driven by people looking for answers, understanding, or a way forward, and together they become a finished slate with real range,” said André Renaud, WBITVP’s GVP of Format and Finished Sales.
