THE SEVEN has unveiled the main trailer and key art for Did Someone Happen to Mention Me?, the upcoming Netflix human comedy starring Koji Yakusho as a once-celebrated actor forced to rebuild his life after discovering that almost everyone in Japan has forgotten who he is.
Produced by THE SEVEN, the series follows Gen Takasegawa, a legendary actor who achieved major success with a stage production in London. After spending two years away from Japan following the pandemic, he returns home expecting to reclaim his place in the spotlight, only to find himself completely forgotten by both the public and his own family. Determined to return to the top, Takasegawa begins pushing his way into auditions and film sets, taking increasingly small roles as he attempts to rebuild his career one background part at a time.

The cast also includes Hayato Isomura as Takeru Murai, the self-absorbed star actor of Okamoto’s theatre troupe, and Masatoshi Hamada as Daiya Mibu, Takasegawa’s longtime acting rival, who questions whether he too could eventually be forgotten.
