Vision Distribution has appointed Thomas J. Ciampa as Chief Executive Officer, effective October 19, 2026.

The appointment was announced by shareholders Sky, Cattleya, Italian International Film, Palomar and Wildside, marking a new phase for the Italian distribution company as it continues to strengthen its position across film, scripted content and international partnerships.

Ciampa brings more than 30 years of experience in the international media and entertainment industry. Over the course of his career, he has held senior roles at Warner Bros., Sony Pictures, Rainbow and, most recently, Colorado Film, gaining extensive experience across distribution, production, international co-productions and the development of new intellectual properties.

In addition to leading Vision Distribution, Ciampa will also contribute to selected strategic initiatives within Sky’s film and scripted-content activities. His international background is expected to support closer dialogue with global partners and help identify new opportunities for the development, positioning and international exploitation of Italian content.

The appointment comes as Italian producers and distributors are increasingly looking to expand the international reach of local IP, with co-production, talent partnerships and global distribution playing a growing role in the market.
