The deal includes 10 television series and 11 feature films, further strengthening the availability of Mediaset fiction and movies in the Ukrainian market.
Among the highlights of the package is the Rivombrosa franchise, including the hit period drama Elisa di Rivombrosa, starring Vittoria Puccini and Alessandro Preziosi, together with its subsequent instalments. One of Mediaset’s landmark Italian dramas, the romantic costume series follows Elisa, a young woman of humble origins who falls in love with Count Fabrizio Ristori against the backdrop of aristocratic intrigue and political conspiracy in 18th-century Piedmont.
Also included is Le Stagioni del Cuore, starring Anna Valle and Alessandro Gassmann, an epic family and romantic drama spanning several decades of Italian history, from the 1940s through the 1970s. Set around an upper-middle-class Turin family, the series intertwines the relationship between Claudia and Sergio with the profound social and political changes taking place in Italy.
The package also features two biographical miniseries centred on internationally recognised figures. Rodolfo Valentino – La Leggenda, starring Gabriel Garko, traces the journey of the Italian-born performer from his difficult beginnings in Castellaneta to his transformation into one of the greatest icons of Hollywood’s silent-film era.
Callas e Onassis, directed by Giorgio Capitani and starring Luisa Ranieri as Maria Callas and Gérard Darmon as Aristotle Onassis, chronicles the passionate and turbulent relationship between the legendary opera singer and the Greek shipping magnate. The cast also includes Serena Autieri and Anna Valle.
The film selection includes Beato tra le donne, Una donna alla finestra, Pierre Granier-Deferre’s historical drama starring Romy Schneider, Philippe Noiret and Gastone Moschin; and Giuseppe Tornatore’s acclaimed Stanno tutti bene, starring Marcello Mastroianni, which follows a widowed Sicilian father travelling across Italy to visit his five adult children and gradually discovering that their lives are very different from what he had imagined.
