Keshet International has acquired the international distribution rights to The Escape (Ha’Bricha), a new action thriller commissioned by Keshet 12. Currently in post-production, the eight-part, 60-minute drama is produced by Reisdor Productions and SE Film Productions and is set to premiere on Israel’s most-watched television channel later this year.
The Escape is a gripping action thriller set deep in the Colombian jungle, where a fanatical ultra-Orthodox cult rules with absolute control. Yoel (Tako), the cult’s gifted heir apparent, secretly dreams of freedom for his wife Feigy (Naya Bienstock) and their young son. When their escape plan is exposed, Yoel is forced to flee alone, leaving his family behind. Overwhelmed by the outside world, he joins forces with Carmeli (Levi), a haunted ex-Mossad search-and-rescue operative, to bring them out. But the cult’s charismatic leader (Ivanir)—and an alliance with a drug cartel—turn the rescue into a deadly war.

The eight-part international thriller is a Keshet Media Group production in association with Reisdor Productions for Keshet 12, produced by SE Films and Reisdor. Created and written by head writer Ariel Cohen, alongside directors Yoav and Doron Paz, The Escape features a stellar cast including Yehuda Levi as troubled fixer Carmeli, Mark Ivanir as cult leader The Righteous Tzadik, Ido Tako as cult heir Yoel, Naya Bienstock as his wife Feigy, and newcomer Roy Shachar Kremerman as his young son Nachman. Executive producers include Yaki Reisner and Shalom Eisenbach, alongside Keshet Media Group’s Avi Nir, Keshet International’s Keren Shahar, and Keshet 12’s Karni Ziv, Yuval Horowitz and Eze Sakson. The Escape is currently in post-production and is set to premiere on Keshet 12 later this year.
Highlights include Keshet Studios’ straight-to-series order from Netflix for Keshet’s Lovesick, starring Claire Danes and showrun by Sarah Treem (announced April 29 2026); alongside Keshet Studios’ first-look scripted deal with Sony Pictures Television, which has already generated a growing slate of high-profile projects in development, including Keshet’s Save the Date from showrunner Dana Fox (announced December 3 2025). Keshet International has also licensed Spiro Films’ globe-trotting thriller Unconditional for Keshet 12, which is currently streaming on Apple TV (announced February 23 2026).
