Disney+ and Luzu TV present Somos así, la serie de Nadie dice Nada
Disney+ and Argentina’s Luzu TV will unveil the first footage from Somos así, la serie de Nadie dice Nada, a fiction project expanding the universe of Luzu TV’s successful live-streaming show Nadie dice nada.
The session will explore how the partnership was developed and how a digital community with a strong relationship to its creators can be transformed into scripted fiction while maintaining its original identity.
Participants include Daniel Burman, Head of Original Content at Disney+ for The Walt Disney Company Latin America; Nico Occhiato, Founder of Luzu TV; and Santiago Talledo, actor, director and screenwriter at Crea Contenidos.
HBO Max offers first look at Brazilian original Véspera
HBO Max will take audiences inside the creative development of Véspera, its new Brazilian original series based on Carla Madeira’s bestselling novel.
The presentation will include previously unseen footage and examine the challenges of adapting the intense family drama for television, exploring complex relationships, extreme circumstances and resilience.
Speakers will include screenwriter Angela Chaves, Boutique Filmes partner and executive producer Gustavo Mello, director Joana Jabace and Vanessa Miranda, Head of Fiction Development at HBO Max Latin America. The session will be moderated by Kel Cogliatti, Head of Programming at RIO2C.
Mala Rodríguez documentary showcased in Madrid
Iberscreenings will also introduce Mala Llena Eres de Gracia, a documentary produced by Mediacrest, Minuto 90 Films and JCDe Productions.
The film offers an intimate portrait of Spanish artist La Mala Rodríguez, revisiting her career through her music and through the stories of four young women named María who found in art a way to transform their lives.
The session will feature La Mala Rodríguez, director Jean-Cosme Delaloye and Fernando Jerez, Head of Non-Fiction at Mediacrest.
Radio Ambulante adapts Las Vidas de Marilú
Another project presented at the event will be Las Vidas de Marilú, an adaptation of the Radio Ambulante chronicle of the same name.
The story follows Marilú, a woman from Monterrey who converts to Islam, marries a Moroccan man she meets through Facebook and relocates with her family to Madrid. Her life changes dramatically after her husband is detained and she is later arrested and accused of glorifying terrorism. Although her conviction is eventually overturned by Spain’s Supreme Court, the experience leaves lasting consequences for the family.
The panel will include Patricio Wills, President of W Studios; Juancho Cardona, General Director of 11:11 Films & TV; and Silvia Viñas, Executive Producer at Radio Ambulante.
Telemundo Studios previews upcoming scripted projects
Telemundo Studios will present the showcase Historias que conectan: la visión de Telemundo Studios, offering a preview of its upcoming productions and outlining the company’s creative strategy for future fiction.
The discussion will focus on audience engagement, memorable characters and the creative criteria behind Telemundo’s choices of stories, genres and formats.
Speakers will be Iralyn Valera, Director Future Development at Telemundo Studios, and Sergio Mendoza, VP Scripted Development.
