Bookish Renewed for Third Season and Christmas Special
British crime series Bookish, created, written by and starring Primetime Emmy Award winner Mark Gatiss, has been renewed for a third season and a Christmas special.

The new season will consist of six one-hour episodes, with production due to begin later this year ahead of a 2027 broadcast. Before then, viewers will get a festive instalment, Bookish: The Crown of Destiny, a two-part Christmas special set to air this December.

Season two of Bookish, starring Gatiss alongside Polly Walker (Bridgerton) and Connor Finch, will premiere in the UK on U&alibi on August 28.

Distributed internationally by Beta Film, the series has already been sold to more than 100 territories, including Canada via Radio-Canada, Australia on HBO Max, Italy on RAI and Latin America through AMC Networks.
The first season proved a strong performer for U&alibi, averaging 1.5 million viewers and becoming the channel’s second-highest-rated premiere to date.

Bookish is produced by Eagle Eye Drama, part of ITV Studios, in association with Happy Duck Films and with support from the Belgian Tax Shelter. Beta Film handles worldwide sales, while PBS Distribution holds the North American rights.
