La Biennale di Venezia and Campari have announced that Italian actress Serena Rossi will receive the 2026 Campari Passion for Film Award during the 83rd Venice International Film Festival, taking place from September 2-12, 2026. The award celebrates film professionals whose talent, dedication, and artistic vision transform passion into a driving creative force. Created by Campari in collaboration with the Artistic Direction of Biennale Cinema, the recognition honors artists who contribute to the evolution of cinematic storytelling through their creativity and commitment.
The award ceremony will take place on Thursday, September 10, at 9:30 PM in the Sala Grande at the Palazzo del Cinema, ahead of the Out of Competition screening of Scherzetto (Trick, Italy, 116’), directed by Mario Martone. The film stars Rossi alongside Toni Servillo, Lorenzo Perrotta, Leonardo Lidi, Giovanni Ludeno, and Gianluca Di Gennaro.

Rossi, known for her performances in titles such as Mina Settembre, Il treno dei bambini, and Ammore e malavita, expressed her gratitude for the recognition: “To me, it is always a great joy to return to the Lido. Many unforgettable memories tie me to this place, first of all the wonderful experience I had conducting the opening and closing nights, and it is a true honor to receive the Campari Passion for Film Award. I want to sincerely thank the President Pietrangelo Buttafuoco, the Director Alberto Barbera, and La Biennale di Venezia for their esteem and for this recognition. Passion, the spur to constantly put myself to the test and to search for that authentic connection with the public, have always been the one, true guiding purpose of my work. To return here, this time in the company of maestro Mario Martone, Toni Servillo, and the rest of the cast to present Scherzetto (Trick), makes this Festival even more special for me.”
