Temptation Island Makes Italian TV History as Season 15 Ends with Record Ratings
The 15th season of Temptation Island has concluded with a historic ratings record, prompting Mediaset to celebrate what it described as an outstanding television and social phenomenon. The reality show, produced by Maria De Filippi and hosted by Filippo Bisciglia, steadily increased its audience throughout the season, becoming the most-watched programme of the Italian summer and one of the country’s biggest television and digital successes of the year.

The final episode, broadcast on Canale 5 on Wednesday, July 29, attracted 4.247 million viewers and a 35.5% audience share.

Across the entire season, Temptation Island recorded an average audience of 3.970 million viewers and a 31.33% share. The programme also generated more than 700 million views across its official social media profiles, confirming its ability to engage audiences well beyond linear television.

Mediaset CEO Pier Silvio Berlusconi congratulated Maria De Filippi and the entire production team, describing the programme as “a major television and social event”.
“Results like these demonstrate that, with the right programmes, capable of constantly renewing themselves, generalist television continues to be at the centre of the country’s attention,” Berlusconi said.

He added that the success of Temptation Island came during a particularly strong period for Mediaset’s wider portfolio, with the group recording further audience growth and results that he described as exceptional even by international broadcasting standards.

According to Mediaset, in the period following the FIFA World Cup, the group’s channels further strengthened their leadership, reaching a combined 42.1% share across the full day and 45.8% in prime time among the total television audience.
The record-breaking season once again demonstrated the enduring strength of the Temptation Island format, which has successfully combined relationship drama, emotional storytelling and a highly effective social media strategy to become one of the most prominent entertainment brands on Italian television.
