SLL is broadening its content strategy with the launch of Code Name: Villain Stepmom, its first original short-form drama produced in collaboration with global mobile platform GoodShort. The project marks the company's latest move into the rapidly expanding vertical drama segment, delivering premium scripted content designed for mobile-first audiences. The fantasy drama comprises 60 episodes of approximately 90 seconds each, combining fast-paced storytelling with an immersive narrative format tailored for short-form viewing.
The series is directed by emerging filmmaker Yang Ho-seok, written by Yoon Yu, produced by Kim Ji-won, and stars Jung Ye-in of Lovelyz alongside actor Han Jung-wan. Set inside a fictional 1980s television drama, Code Name: Villain Stepmom follows Seol-hwa, a former secret agent who dies during a mission only to awaken as the villainous stepmother of the story. Guided by a mysterious system, she must protect three children while attempting to rewrite the tragic destiny that awaits her.
The series premiered worldwide on July 22 through GoodShort, the global short-form streaming platform operated by Singapore New Reading Technology.
