Rainbow unveiled the next chapter of its iconic Winx Club franchise at the 56th Giffoni Film Festival, where the world premiere of new episodes from Winx Club: The Magic Is Back delighted hundreds of young fans ahead of the series' global rollout. The event gave jurors from the festival's Elements +6 section an exclusive preview of one of the new episodes, while Bloom, Stella, Flora, Musa, Tecna and Aisha also took part in live performances featuring songs from the new season before appearing on Giffoni's Blue Carpet.
Produced by Rainbow in collaboration with Rai Kids, the latest installment marks the continuation of the franchise's reboot, which debuted its first batch of episodes last September. Six new episodes will launch globally on Netflix from July 28, while the complete season, including the finale, will premiere in Italy on Rai Gulp and RaiPlay beginning in September.
Created in high-quality CGI with enhanced visual effects and a completely refreshed artistic style, Winx Club: The Magic Is Back introduces a new generation of viewers to the magical world of Alfea while preserving the values that have defined the brand for more than two decades, including friendship, courage and inclusion. The story follows 16-year-old Bloom as she discovers she is a fairy and embarks on a journey alongside Stella, Flora, Musa, Tecna and Aisha. Alongside the new episodes, Rainbow is also expanding the franchise's digital footprint through music. Since July 18, fans have been able to access Winx Songs Universe, the most comprehensive music collection ever released for the brand.
The initiative brings together more than 450 songs from across the Winx universe, available on YouTube in multiple languages as well as on leading digital streaming platforms. The collection allows both longtime fans and new audiences to revisit — or discover for the first time — the music that has accompanied the adventures of the Winx fairies throughout the years.
Conceived by Iginio Straffi, Winx Club has become one of Italy's most successful animation brands, distributed in more than 150 countries. By continuously evolving through new productions, platforms and storytelling formats, the franchise continues to engage audiences worldwide while reinforcing its position as one of the industry's most enduring children's entertainment properties.
