ANAD Launches New Award Celebrating Italian Dubbing Excellence
Italy’s National Association of Voice Actors, ANAD, has announced the launch of the Premio Nazionale del Doppiaggio ANAD, a new award dedicated to recognising artistic, cultural and professional excellence in Italian dubbing.

The inaugural ceremony will take place on January 15, 2027, at the Petrassi Hall of Rome’s Auditorium Parco della Musica. The award will consider audiovisual productions dubbed and released in Italy during the previous year.

“This is not about rewarding the best film or series. It is about rewarding the best dubbing,” said ANAD president Daniele Giuliani, stressing that the initiative has been created by dubbing professionals to highlight the importance of the Italian-language edition of international productions.

According to ANAD, dubbing should not be regarded as an additional technical service, but as an integral part of a work’s identity and of the audience’s viewing experience. The award will recognise the collective contribution of voice actors and other professionals whose work is often invisible but fundamental to the final result.
ANAD will announce the official rules, categories and jury members in the coming months. The association aims to develop the event into a major industry platform involving cinema, television and the wider audiovisual sector, while promoting higher quality standards across Italian dubbing.
