UK-founded digital entertainment studio Wall of Entertainment is expanding its presence in the U.S. market with the launch of its first American-produced original series, Substitute Teacher and House Rules, both set to premiere on Tubi this summer. The announcement also includes a broader content agreement that will see Tubi add more than 100 episodes from Wall of Entertainment’s UK catalogue, spanning genres including reality, comedy, game shows, dating, cooking, sketch and drama.
"This partnership is a key milestone for us. Tubi is the first to see our vision of bridging the creator economy and traditional entertainment industry — giving digital talent great formats and the full production infrastructure to make shows that compete with anything on TV," said Joivan Wade, co-founder and CEO of Wall of Entertainment. "We provide these creators with an opportunity to go from social media to Hollywood — and walk away not just as talent, but with ownership as producers, with IP participation, and as architects of their own entertainment brands.”
“We are excited to bring two flagship shows to Tubi as we continue to be part of the evolution of entertainment: a model where the next generation of TV-Quality formats are built by, for and with the creators audiences already love,” added Percelle Ascott, co-founder and CCO of Wall of Entertainment.
Premiering on June 25, Substitute Teacher is a comedy game show hosted by actor and creator Charles Brockman III. Set in a high school classroom, the format combines sketch comedy, trivia and physical challenges as contestants compete to be crowned class valedictorian.
House Rules will debut on July 16 and is hosted by creator Laro Benz. The game show pits two couples against one another in a series of home-themed challenges designed to determine who truly runs the household.
“I’m beyond excited to step into the Wall of Entertainment world to host Substitute Teacher. I love to make people laugh and hope the viewers will have a good time watching this series. Playing these crazy characters was such a fun time and I can’t wait to see what comes from this amazing project," said Charles Brockman III.
“I’ve always believed that great content brings people together, and this project is another step in that journey. Partnering with Tubi and Wall of Entertainment is an incredible opportunity, and I’m excited to share something special with audiences everywhere,” said Laro Benz.
Founded by actors Joivan Wade (Doom Patrol) and Percelle Ascott (The Innocents), Wall of Entertainment was named Studio of the Year at the 2025 TellyCast Digital Video Awards. The company has built a portfolio of more than 1,000 episodes and over 50 original formats, generating more than 12 billion digital views worldwide.
Wall of Entertainment expanded into the United States in late 2025 with the appointment of Jonny Paterson, former Vice President and Head of Development at Confluential Films, to lead its U.S. operations. The company works with partners including BBC, Channel 4, Sky, Netflix, Amazon and Tubi, and is represented in the U.S. and UK by WME.
