ATV Distribution’s new Turkish drama Different Lives (Altı Üstü İstanbul) posted a strong debut, emerging as the most successful drama premiere of the summer season and generating significant audience engagement across broadcast and social media platforms.
The series follows Emir, a gifted young football player from one of Istanbul’s disadvantaged neighborhoods whose ambition to transform his family’s future is disrupted by a life-changing tragedy. As long-buried secrets emerge, tensions rise and loyalties are challenged, driving a story that blends family drama, romance, ambition and justice.

Positioned against the backdrop of modern Istanbul, Different Lives explores the intersection of contrasting social realities, combining emotional storytelling with themes designed to resonate with both domestic and international audiences. The production also highlights a strong ensemble cast and an authentic neighborhood setting that reinforces its universal appeal.
