ReelShort has partnered with Korean content studio SHOWBOX to co-develop and produce original short-form dramas aimed at global audiences, marking another step in the platform’s international content strategy. Under the agreement, SHOWBOX will initially produce Korean adaptations based on some of ReelShort’s most successful intellectual properties, with the collaboration expected to expand into original short-form projects developed by the Korean studio. All titles created through the partnership will launch exclusively on ReelShort. The first slate includes Tell Me Not to Love You, My Secret Lover Is His Brother and Queen Never Cry.

For SHOWBOX, the partnership represents a further push into the micro-drama business. The studio entered the segment in late 2025 with productions including Bridal Shower: The Missing Bride and The Fallen Idol Is Possessed!, leveraging its experience across film and television to develop content tailored for international audiences.
SHOWBOX stated, "By combining ReelShort's global platform competitiveness with SHOWBOX's content development and production capabilities, which have been at the forefront of K-content, we will deliver high-quality short-form dramas and use them as a foundation to expand into a wider range of genres and formats. We will use this collaboration as an opportunity to create new success stories in the global market and further strengthen our content competitiveness."

The agreement further strengthens ReelShort’s investment in international productions as the platform continues to expand its network of partnerships with studios, creators and IP owners worldwide to fuel growth in the global micro-drama market.
