Love Island Drives ITV’s Summer Ratings Surge as New Spinoff Gains Traction
ITV’s flagship reality franchise Love Island returned with a consolidated audience of 2.1 million viewers, outperforming the latest season of Love Island All Stars and reaffirming its position as one of the UK’s biggest entertainment brands.
The format continues to deliver ITV’s largest 16–34 audience of the year, currently averaging 700,000 viewers among the key demographic, highlighting its ongoing appeal with younger audiences and its value within the broadcaster’s entertainment lineup.

The new companion show The Debrief launched to 425,000 viewers and has become ITV2’s biggest new programme of the year outside the core Love Island and Love Island All Stars franchises. The series brings together fan favourites Toni, Shakira and Yasmin in a refreshed post-show format.

Across 2026 to date, Love Island and Love Island All Stars have generated 17.6 million streams, underscoring the franchise’s continued strength across both linear television and digital platforms.
