Spanish Comedy Tres de Más Remakes Italian Box Office Hit Tre di Troppo
Spanish distributor Warner Bros. Pictures España will release the family comedy Tres de Más in cinemas on July 24, 2026. The feature is the Spanish remake of the successful Italian comedy Tre di Troppo, starring Fabio De Luigi and Virginia Raffaele, which became a major box office success in Italy.

Directed by Mar Olid, Tres de Más stars Kira Miró and Salva Reina in the lead roles, supported by a cast including Luna Fulgencio, Ian Cortegoso, Adriana Bidae, Antonio Pagudo, Marta Hazas, David Lorente, Carmen Ruiz, Raquel Guerrero, Félix Gómez, Norma Ruiz and Adam Jezierski.

The story follows Julia and Ernesto, a successful couple enjoying a carefree life without children. Their perfect existence is suddenly turned upside down when they wake up one morning to find three children calling them “mom” and “dad.” Forced overnight into parenthood, the pair must navigate the chaos of family life while trying to understand where the children came from — and how to get rid of them.

The original Italian film, written by and starring Fabio De Luigi, attracted more than one million admissions in Italy and grossed €4.7 million at the local box office. The comedy resonated strongly with audiences thanks to its satirical take on modern parenthood and social expectations surrounding family life. Through humor, the story explores prejudice toward both couples with children and those who consciously choose not to have them.

Speaking about the adaptation, director Mar Olid described the film as a mix of comedy, tenderness and personal transformation. “Tres de Más begins with two people who only think about themselves and their own wellbeing, but who gradually change thanks to the unconditional love of two girls and one boy,” she explained. “The journey is full of humor, dances, school performances, sports and laughter, and we were fortunate to work with an extraordinary cast led by Kira Miró and Salva Reina.”

The film is produced by LAZONA, Warner Bros. Entertainment España and León Cobarde Films, with the participation of Atresmedia Cine, HBO Max and Atresmedia. Financing support comes from the Spanish Ministry of Culture’s ICAA, CREA SGR and the Government of Navarra.
