The initiative further strengthens the event’s commitment to promoting Ibero-American creative talent and supporting projects with international potential.
Now in its sixth edition, the market will take place from September 29 to October 2, 2026, at Matadero Madrid, continuing its role as a key platform connecting creators, production companies, distributors, buyers and streaming platforms across the global audiovisual ecosystem.
The newly launched call is aimed at writers and creators from the Ibero-American region developing fiction projects with strong international appeal.
Selected participants will present their projects in a five-minute Elevator Pitch format, followed by a Q&A session with executives from Sony Pictures Television.
The call is open to original scripted projects across multiple formats — including miniseries, series, superseries, procedurals and premium series — and genres such as melodrama, dramedy, comedy and TV movies. Particular emphasis is placed on projects with the potential to resonate with broad audiences in both the Ibero-American region and the US Hispanic market.
Eligible projects must be original, Spanish-language productions linked to Ibero-America and submitted on an exclusive basis, meaning they cannot participate in other Pitch calls within this edition.
To encourage broader international participation and increase the diversity of submissions, the event has extended the application deadline for all Pitch calls to April 28, 2026. This year’s Pitch sessions will involve eleven calls and nine major industry players, including 3Pas Studios, Amazon MGM Studios, Ánima, BH5 Studios, Dopamine, HBO Max, Río Ancho, Sony Pictures Television LATAM & USH, and Telefe Studios.
Each call has specific eligibility requirements, covering a wide range of formats — from fiction, animation and documentary features to series, telenovelas and vertical microseries — depending on the participating partner.
Full guidelines and participation rules are available on the official website, with submissions managed through accredited professional profiles.
Professional accreditation provides access to the full program, including Pitch calls and industry activities, as well as entry to a dedicated virtual platform where participants can explore the attendee directory, schedule meetings and access on-demand conference content.
Early Bird accreditation rates are available until June 11 via the official website.
Organised by EGEDA and Fundación Secuoya, in collaboration with FIPCA and supported by Madrid Film Office and Film Madrid Region, Iberseries & Platino Industria continues to consolidate its position as a strategic hub for the development, financing and international visibility of Spanish- and Portuguese-language content.
The previous edition brought together over 2,700 professionals from 50 countries, and the 2026 edition aims to further expand its global reach while reinforcing its role as a key networking and business platform for the Ibero-American audiovisual industry.
