Plan B Arrives in London
Plan B, the production company co-led by Brad Pitt, Dede Gardner and Jeremy Kleiner, part of the Mediawan group since 2022, announces the creation of its subsidiary Plan B Europe, based in London and headed by Ed Macdonald.
Plan B Entertainment is a longstanding, award-winning producer of film and television, whose recent projects include F1 The Movie, Adolescence, Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, Women Talking, and Nickel Boys. Extending this ambition, Mediawan and Plan B Entertainment launched Plan B Europe to expand its premium film and television activities across the UK and Europe.

Created in 2025, Plan B Europe is headed by Ed Macdonald. This new London base is designed to foster the company’s continued growth, with an increased focus on premium series and films in the UK and across Europe. Already very active in the market, Plan B Europe has multiple projects in paid development with buyers and announces the strengthening of its team against this backdrop.
Ed Macdonald: “As we continue to grow our distinctive slate in the UK and across Europe, Maria and Charlie are two exceptional additions. With their sharp editorial instincts and key relationships, I am absolutely thrilled to be welcoming them to the Plan B family.”
Maria Fleischer started her career at Origin Pictures, before working for Fox Searchlight in the UK development and production team. She then became Head of Development at DNA Films and TV, working across the feature slate but chiefly building a TV slate under an FX overall deal, including a series adaptation of Kazuo Ishiguro’s Never Let Me Go. More recently, she has been at Sony Pictures Television International as VP, Original Development, building a TV slate for the Internal Studio. Maria joins Plan B Europe as an Executive Producer.
Charlie Silver has spent the past 8 years at Tessa Ross’ House Productions, where he has developed projects across both the television and film slates. On the TV side, these include James Graham’s Sherwood for the BBC and Stephen Butchard’s The Good Mothers for Disney+/Hulu. On the film side, he has worked across Andrea Arnold’s Bird and Danny Boyle’s Ink, which is currently in post-production. Charlie joins Plan B Europe as Development Producer.
