ITV Studios is expanding its high-end drama portfolio with the debut of Paper Mill Productions. This new scripted label, led by the experienced producer Preethi Mavahalli, is set to launch this April.

Based within the ITV Studios family, Paper Mill Productions will focus on developing and creating premium scripted content for both the UK and international markets, with global distribution handled by ITV Studios. Mavahalli joins from Poison Pen Studios, another ITV Studios label, where she served as Creative Director.

Joining the new venture as Executive Producer is Luke Woellhaf, who also transitions from Poison Pen. Woellhaf previously served as Head of Development at Left Bank Pictures, where his work included the BAFTA-winning Sitting In Limbo and the Netflix hit Behind Her Eyes.

Preethi Mavahalli said: “Almost my entire television career has been as part of ITV Studios so it only felt natural to take this exciting and significant step as part of the family. I’m thrilled to launch this new venture and continue to collaborate with exceptional storytellers and creatives, Julian, and the wonderfully talented team at ITV Studios.”

This new label reinforces ITV Studios’ global drama footprint, which already includes renowned producers such as World Productions, Mammoth Screen, Cattleya, and Plano a Plano.
