Production is set to begin next month in Cairns, Queensland, for the third installment of the crime drama "Black Snow", distributed by All3Media International. Travis Fimmel reprises his lead role as James Cormack in the six-part mystery produced by Goalpost Pictures. This new season moves the setting to Far North Queensland, where the protagonist investigates a deeply personal cold case involving his long-lost brother.
Joining the returning cast members George Mason and Rose Riley are new additions Lee Tiger Halley, Caroline Craig, and Samson Alston. The narrative follows Cormack as he risks his career to solve the 1999 murder of a family friend, a case that sees his brother Ritchie standing trial as the primary suspect.
All3Media International has confirmed a significant expansion of the series' international reach. AMC Networks returns as the partner for North America, while new licensing deals have been secured across EMEA and APAC. Both previous seasons have been acquired by Canal+ for its French-speaking territories and have been licensed to various broadcasters including VRT in Belgium, LNK in Lithuania, and Pickbox across the Balkans. Additional agreements have been finalized in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Poland, Latvia, and Kazakhstan.
