The opening night of the 76th edition of the Festival di Sanremo, hosted by Carlo Conti with Laura Pausini and Can Yaman, delivered solid audience shares but recorded a significant decline in total viewers compared to the 2025 edition.
Following the Sanremo Start preview (20:41–21:37), which attracted 12.8 million viewers and a 50.9% share, the first evening of the Festival averaged 9.3 million viewers with a 57.7% share between 21:42 and 01:32.
Audience Breakdown
In detail, the broadcast performed as follows:
- First part (21:42–23:34): 12.77 million viewers – 57.5% share
- Second part (23:38–01:32): 5.85 million viewers – 58.2% share
The traditional lead-in and post-show programming also delivered strong results:
- PrimaFestival: 7.96 million viewers – 36.17% share
- DopoFestival (until 01:59): 2.10 million viewers – 52.40% share
Peaks and Key Moments
The evening reached its highest audience peak at 15.38 million viewers around 21:59, during the segment in which Laura Pausini and Carlo Conti bid farewell to Gianna Pratesi, with a 59.72% share.
The highest share of the night was 63.87%, recorded later in the broadcast during the performance by Leo Gassmann with the song Naturale, which averaged 4.52 million viewers.
