ITV Studios has announced that the hit primetime celebrity game show "Parents' Evening" is expanding internationally, with a brand-new commission by Atresmedia in Spain. The series will be produced locally by ITV Studios Iberia.
The announcement comes shortly after the show was recommissioned by ITV for a third season in the UK, which will return for six episodes and a Christmas special. The format is gaining significant international traction following a strong performance by the second UK series, which delivered over two million viewers across all devices after seven days and ranked among the top 10 best-performing game shows of 2025 on ITV1.
Created by Ranga Bee Productions, co-founded by Romesh Ranganathan, "Parents' Evening" has become a favorite due to its blend of family dynamics and comedy. Hosted by Romesh and his mother Shanthi, the program tests parents' knowledge of their children’s general knowledge, proving that it doesn’t matter what you know - it’s what your mum or dad think you know.
In addition to this expansion, ITV Studios has also announced the acquisition of "Your Song", a new music entertainment format from Love Productions. This format, commissioned by Channel 4 in the UK, is described as a celebration of everyday people with extraordinary stories and voices. It focuses on authenticity and songs with deep personal meaning rather than flashy performances or the pursuit of fame. Amateur singers perform on a traveling stage to share personal stories, supported by a host and two musical mentors who are stars in their own right. These mentors select which performers will proceed to the Grand Final, a concert celebrating the power of music and the participants' journeys.
Both "Parents' Evening" and "Your Song" are distributed internationally by ITV Studios.
