Blue Ant Media Expands Natural History Slate With Four New Originals For London Screenings
Blue Ant Media has greenlit four original natural history series for its global Love Nature brand, with international distribution handled by Blue Ant Rights. The new titles will be introduced to buyers at London Screenings and will be available in non-commissioning territories.

The latest additions to the slate are “Europe’s Wild Kingdoms”, “Superbeast”, “Aussie Snake Wranglers: Deadly Pursuit” Season 2 and “Wild Germany”. The projects are produced by leading natural history specialists including Le Cinquième Rêve, Breakout Productions, WildBear Entertainment and Doclights, reinforcing Blue Ant Media’s position in premium specialist factual programming.

“These new series reflect our global commissioning strategy of investing in compelling and unexpected natural history content that connects with audiences on our owned and operated linear and streaming channels,” says Alison Barrat, SVP, Head of Content, Global Channels & Streaming. “Leveraging Blue Ant’s integrated approach between our channels and rights businesses allows us to maximize the reach of our original commissions with third-party platform partners.”

The Newly Greenlit Titles
“Europe’s Wild Kingdoms” (2 x 60’): Produced by Le Cinquième Rêve, with ARTE G.E.I.E. as co-production partner, the two-part series offers exclusive access to some of Europe’s most iconic heritage landmarks, including Mont-St-Michel, the castles of the Loire Valley, Bran Castle, Alhambra and Duart Castle.

“Aussie Snake Wranglers: Deadly Pursuit” Season 2 (6 x 30’): Produced by Breakout Productions, the second season continues to follow an elite team of snake catchers operating along Queensland’s Sunshine Coast. Led by venomous snake expert Stuart McKenzie, the team responds to emergency calls involving some of the world’s most dangerous snakes, including the eastern brown.

“Superbeast” (6 x 60’): Produced by WildBear Entertainment, this fast-paced series adopts a “play-of-the-day” format to rank the animal kingdom’s most extraordinary abilities. Each episode builds a countdown focused on a specific category — from speed and strength to stealth and lethality — highlighting surprising contenders alongside expected champions.

“Wild Germany” (2 x 60’): Produced by Doclights, the series explores the unexpected wilderness of northern Germany, portraying forests, wetlands and mountain ranges that support rich biodiversity. From elusive wildcats and returning lynxes to beavers reshaping ecosystems and over 200 bird species populating rivers and plains, the documentary paints an intimate portrait of a resilient landscape.
