Hollywood Celebrates Italian Talent at the 11th Filming Italy – Los Angeles
The 11th edition of Filming Italy – Los Angeles, created and directed by Tiziana Rocca (Agnus Dei), returns to the heart of Hollywood with a program celebrating Italian cinema, global dialogue, and cultural exchange. Hosted in partnership with the Italian Cultural Institute in Los Angeles, led by Emanuele Amendola, and under the patronage of the Italian Consulate General, the festival runs from February 10 to 14.

This year marks a historic celebration with a special tribute to Italian icon Franco Nero, who will be awarded a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, joining Gina Lollobrigida (2018) and Giancarlo Giannini (2023) as the third Italian artist to receive this honor. The festival will also dedicate a retrospective to Nero’s remarkable six-decade career.Actress Anna Ferzetti takes on the role of festival ambassador, representing a new generation of Italian talent. She will present Paolo Sorrentino’s latest film La grazia at the DGA Theater and receive the Filming Italy Los Angeles Best Performance Award.
The festival opens with the emotional documentary “Allevi – Back to Life”, chronicling composer Giovanni Allevi’s triumphant return after battling illness. Allevi will attend the screening and receive the Achievement Award.

Juliette Binoche, receiving the Best Director Debut Award
Julian Schnabel, acclaimed director of The Diving Bell and the Butterfly
Francine Maisler, casting director for Sinners
Jacqueline Bisset, Da’Vine Joy Randolph, Samuel Arnold, Rosario Dawson, Dolph Lundgren, and more.

Celebrated Italian artists include Micaela Ramazzotti, Luca Zingaretti, Paolo Genovese, Clara, Fausto Leali, Giuseppe Piccioni, Sergio Castellitto, Lillo, and Benedetta Porcaroli, among others.

The Women Power Award continues to honor female voices, with a dedicated section for women-directed short films. This edition features emerging works such as Dolly Make Up, Tits Don’t Cry, and Love Me to Live.
The festival maintains its hybrid model, with over 600,000 past viewers on the MyMovies platform. Films will be accessible across 50+ territories. Emphasizing sustainability, all materials—from backdrops to awards—are eco-friendly, in collaboration with FareAmbiente.
