The story is focused on Vittoria Greco (Anna Valle) was once a happy wife, mother and promising doctor—until a mountain accident killed her husband and led to her conviction for his murder. Eight years later, still claiming her innocence, she is released from prison and returns to San Martino di Castrozza, determined to rebuild her life and reconnect with her teenage son Matteo, raised by his paternal family.Shunned by the community and opposed by her late husband’s relatives, Vittoria finds support only in her friend and assistant Iman and in Diego, once rumored to be her lover. As she struggles to regain custody of her son, she meets Marco Premoli (Daniele Pecci), a lawyer searching for his missing daughter. Marco helps Vittoria reopen the case, unaware that their lives—and their pasts—are deeply intertwined, and that uncovering the truth may ultimately set them against each other.
