MIP London has unveiled details of an expanded Creator Economy programme for the second edition of its international TV and streaming content market, set to take place at the IET London and The Savoy from February 22 to 24, 2026.
Running across Monday and Tuesday, the enhanced programme will spotlight the growing convergence of digital creators, platforms and communities, with sessions focused on analysis, commissioning and monetisation. The 2026 edition also places increased emphasis on structured networking, including matchmaking opportunities and expert-led roundtable discussions.
Among the highlights is a mainstage keynote from media analyst Evan Shapiro, titled "The Year of Change or Die", scheduled for Tuesday, February 24, at the IET London’s Kelvin Theatre. Drawing on new proprietary data, Shapiro will explore the future direction of the television business. Earlier that day, he will also host a live recording of industry podcast “The Media Odyssey,” co-hosted with Marion Ranchet.
The programme will also feature a panel examining the role of creators in driving audience growth and monetisation across platforms. Titled "Talent as the Shortcut: How Community-led IP Scales Across Platforms", the session will bring together executives from Snap Inc., Spotify and pan-European digital studio We Are Era, and will take place on Monday, February 23.
Another mainstage session on Tuesday will explore how premium digital content is commissioned and scaled by established media groups and creator-led studios, with participation from MTV Entertainment Group International and other major players.
Networking will play a central role in this year’s Creator Economy focus, beginning with the invitation-only Attention Economy Leadership Lunch & Mixer, held in partnership with Tubefilter at The Savoy. The event will open with a keynote presentation from Allied Global Marketing’s Chief Strategy Officer Adam Cunningham on the evolving rules of commissioning, marketing and monetisation in the attention economy.
The programme will also include an expert-led roundtable on sustainable growth in creator-led content, staged in partnership with We Are Era, featuring executives from MonRae Management, BBC Talentworks, Patreon, After Party Studios and We Are Era.
MIP London aims to bring together creators, producers, platforms, distributors, buyers and brands across genres, with the Creator Economy strand forming part of a broader conference programme covering documentary, factual, microdramas, podcasting, streaming and AI under the theme Joining the Dots: Finding the Value.
The announcement comes as MIP London surpasses 1,000 registered delegates one month ahead of the market, including more than 550 international buyers representing major broadcasters, streamers and digital platforms from across the global media ecosystem.
