ITV Unveils Bright Entertainment Under Leadership of Lily Wilson
Lily Wilson has officially unveiled Bright Entertainment as ITV Studios’ new entertainment label, marking the launch with its first major commission: "The Chase Around the World", a new prime-time format expanding the global success of ITV’s long-running hit quiz show "The Chase" and globally distributed by ITV Studios.

Hosted by Bradley Walsh, "The Chase Around the World" is a six-part global adventure competition that sees six pairs of contestants race across undisclosed international locations in an effort to track down Britain’s biggest quiz brains — all six of The Chasers. Along the way, contestants must unravel a series of puzzles, with the winning pair ultimately going head-to-head with The Chasers to compete for a life-changing prize pot.

The commission builds on the remarkable global track record of "The Chase", one of the most successful and enduring quiz formats worldwide. The format has been commissioned in 22 territories, including the US, with spin-off Beat the Chasers produced in 11 markets. The franchise recently celebrated 17 years on ITV and has received numerous industry awards.

Commenting on the launch, Lily Wilson, Managing Director of Bright Entertainment, said: “What better way to launch Bright Entertainment - not only with the news of our inaugural commission, but a reimagining of one of the most successful television quiz formats. The Chase Around the World is a fittingly global evolution for an iconic format, developed and being produced by a great team. We look forward to launching the series later this year and it being the first of many more exciting formats to come.”

Bradley Walsh added: “This bold new take on The Chase combines quizzing with travelling and will test contestants’ knowledge like never before. The Chasers are already famous around the world, so fans can look forward to seeing them ply their trade in some superb secret locations.”

ITV Studios first announced its plans to launch a new label dedicated to scalable entertainment, reality and competitive formats in September 2025. The label is led by Wilson, with a senior creative team that includes Creative Director Tom Williams, who recently joined from TalkbackThames, alongside the experienced Potato team: Creative Directors Martin Scott and Phil Mount, Head of Production Christina Clayton, and Ian Gill, recently promoted to Director of Development.

The Chase Around the World further strengthens Bright Entertainment’s growing portfolio, which now brings together titles from Potato and 12 Yard under the new label. The catalogue includes "The Chase" and "Beat the Chasers" for ITV, "Bullseye with Freddie Flintoff" for ITV, "Celebrity Puzzling" for Channel 5 — recently recommissioned for an additional 50 episodes — and "The Finish Line" for the BBC.
