Mediawan’s Adolescence Dominates Golden Globes With Four Wins
Mediawan is celebrating the global success of the series “Adolescence”, produced by its company Plan B, following a major triumph at the 2026 Golden Globe Awards, where the title took home four trophies.

Already recognized with eight Emmy Awards, “Adolescence” continued its awards momentum by sweeping every category in which its cast was nominated at the Golden Globes. The series won Best Television Limited Series, Anthology Series, or Motion Picture Made for Television, along with acting awards for Stephen Graham (Best Performance by a Male Actor in a Limited Series), Erin Doherty (Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role on Television), and Owen Cooper (Best Performance by a Male Actor in a Supporting Role on Television).

A bold project both in form and content, “Adolescence” has sparked widespread social and political debate around the violence circulating on social media, quickly evolving into a global cultural phenomenon. The series has resonated strongly with audiences and critics alike for its timely subject matter and distinctive narrative approach.

Backed early on by Netflix, the title is the result of a close creative collaboration between the series’ writers and Plan B producer Jeremy Kleiner (“One Love,” “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice,” “Wolfs,” “F1…”). Plan B has been part of the Mediawan group since 2022.

Structured as four single-shot episodes, the mini-series represents a significant artistic achievement, immersing viewers in a tense criminal investigation. The story centers on Jamie (Owen Cooper), a seemingly ordinary 13-year-old schoolboy who suddenly finds himself accused of murdering one of his classmates, unfolding a gripping and emotionally charged narrative that has captivated audiences worldwide.
