In television, on the commercial target— the reference audience for advertising investors—Mediaset records an average share of 40.2%, exceeding public broadcaster Rai by more than 10 percentage points (Rai: 30.3%).
For the third consecutive year, although this result is not among the Group’s strategic objectives, Mediaset also ranks as the leading publisher on total television audience, with an average share of 37.5%, compared to 35.8% for the public broadcaster.
This figure is part of a steady growth trend since 2019: over seven years, Mediaset’s total audience ratings have increased by +11.9%, equivalent to +4.0 share points.
In 2025, positive performance also extends to the main viewing time slots. In standard prime time (20:30–22:30), Mediaset reaches a 37.7% share (Rai: 36.3%), while in product prime time (21:30–23:30) it rises to 38.9% (Rai: 34.5%).
Strong results are also confirmed in radio and digital.
RadioMediaset (Radio 105, Virgin Radio, R101, Radio Monte Carlo, Radio Subasio, Radio Norba) is the most listened-to radio group in Italy, with 1,406,000 listeners in the average quarter-hour.
On digital platforms, Mediaset is Italy’s leading publisher for non-linear consumption (connected TVs, PCs, and mobile devices), with over 10 billion videos viewed.
Positive results are also confirmed by the performance of individual generalist channels:
Canale 5 confirms its position as the most-watched channel overall on the commercial target (Canale 5: 17.7%; Rai 1: 14.8%). In particular, during the autumn season, Canale 5 achieves a new milestone: clear leadership across the entire television audience, both on total day with an 18.9% share (Rai 1: 18.6%) and in prime time with a 21.9% share (Rai 1: 20.8%).
Italia 1, on its core target of 15–34-year-olds, reaches 8.1% in total day (Rai 2: 4.2%; Nove: 2.9%). It is the third channel on the commercial target after Canale 5 and Rai 1, with an average share of 7%.
Retequattro confirms its advantage over its direct competitor across the full 24 hours on total audience, with a 4.7% share (La7: 4.1%). With a 5.4% share, it also leads information prime time from 21:30 to 00:30 (La7: 4.7%).
